Mathewson Whittaker Architects were initially appointed for the extension of the offices to provide accommodation for 100 staff. Careful analysis of the client's brief resulted in a proposal to Blick which would achieve a higher capital value for the entire building that could be easily divided in the future to achieve further revenue through rent

The design solution utilised a road side space in front of the warehouse by bringing forward the street elevation of the warehouse with a glazed high-tech facade epitomising the client's products and forming an appropriate feature on the axis of the approach road. The new main entrance serves the existing office building, the new Call Centre and 686 sq m offices with a stairtower linking the office and warehouse.

The Pangbourne Medical Practice sought an imaginative design solution through a design competition which could be built within the budget and cost constraints of the FHSA funding formula for their new Health Centre on a unique riverside site, formerly a boatyard complete with World WarII pillbox
